Chilly Winters was born on September 5th of 1990, in a Pt. Huron, MI hospital to his young mother and his veteran father, who suffered from bi-polar and depression post-desert storm war. Because of his father's illness, Chilly grew up dysfunctional, chaotic and violent. His family didn't have a lot of money. His father played in many rock n' roll bands, which often meant late nights and a lot of drugs and alcohol. Even allowing young Joshua to go see his dad play live for biker clubs such as the Outlaws. This all gave Chilly an appreciation and love for music at an early age. Throughout the chaos, Chilly found himself acting out, doing drugs, breakin' laws, and eventually, all of his anger and pain lead to many county jail stays and a prison sentence. Chilly always expressed himself through his poetry, Often rapping for his friends and family he had around him, catching any bit of buzz he could, wherever he could. In 2012, He met Gage Lane (a producer in Detroit). That's when he started cutting records, but he never actually released any of them. It wasnt until his dad passed away in late 2016 that he really started recording tracks with the intent to release. He put out his 1st record called "I Am The Man" April of 2018. And then he followed up with 2 more releases, a collab song with Machete Stan, and 2 cover songs he shot videos for on youtube to finish off the year. On April 20th of 2019 he debuted his 1st EP, Cold Hearts Break Hearts (consisting of 8 songs) and even landed a feature with D12's Bizarre & Detroit icon HATCH, who has mulitple appearances on Sway in the Morning. Chilly is set to release quite a few songs this winter in 2019. He is constantly working on something new and he is always growing and getting better. He is positioning himself quite well in this game and it's looking like Chilly is setting himself up for a bright future in the music business going into 2020, 2021, and so-on.
